'Aloe Vera of Australia' was founded in 1977 when it brought the first Aloe Vera plants to Australia's shores and pioneered the Aloe Vera industry in our country. This succulent, rich in minerals, vitamins, and amino acids, has been long valued for the cosmetic and medicinal qualities of the gel within its leaves. Historical papers have even been found documenting its use by the ancient Romans, Egyptians, Greeks, Arabians, Chinese and Indians.
Legend has it that two of the most captivating Egyptian queens, Cleopatra, and Nefertiti, drank and bathed in Aloe Vera to preserve their youthful appearance, and that Alexander the Great conquered the island of Socroto off the east coast of Africa for the reason of acquiring sufficient supply of Aloe for healing the wounds of his soldiers.
