Simple enough, but the soapmaking secret’s in knowing which oils to use, in which proportions, and Dr Bronner’s have this ancient art down to a science. They blend coconut oil for lather, olive oil for softness, and hemp and jojoba oils for the way they mimic the natural oils of the skin and leave it smooth and supple. Unlike most manufacturers, they also keep the highly moisturising glycerine in the finished bar. It’s friendly to your skin and friendly to the planet - the only preservatives are sunflower seed vitamin E and tapioca-derived citric acid, so the soap is 100% biodegradable, and it’s sold in 100% post-consumer recycled packaging.
