Googys are an Australian family-owned business specialising in wholefood snacks and convenience foods made with protein-rich free range egg whites, dried fruits and tree nuts. Their tasty protein bars and smoothie & pancake mixes provide powerful natural nutrition with no added sugar, gluten, dairy or soy.
Googys founder Paul Donovan grew up in a family confectionery business, and it’s safe to say that his youthful years of making and selling lollies and chocolates were pretty good preparation for starting his own snack company. The years of eating those sugary sweets, though – well, they weren’t so good for his waistline, or his health in general. He tried exercise, pills, and a host of different diets, but nothing worked until he tried clean eating with real food. Once he saw how much it helped him, he and his wife Lea sold the candy business and created Googys.
From their name to their high-protein snacks, smoothies and pancakes, Googys are all about eggs – specifically, egg whites, which come straight from the shell packed with plenty of nature’s most bioavailable proteins. These proteins are easy to digest, easy for your body to absorb, and don’t need any chemical processing to make them that way. Googys add dried, pasteurised whites from free range eggs to other natural real food ingredients to create nutritious products that are easy, tasty and healthy.
