When they met in the early 1970s, David and Melanie Dane’s shared interests sparked a 40-year journey through the world of herbal medicine and aromatherapy essential oils that has touched on dozens of healing plants and taken them through a devastating fire, a half-hearted retirement attempt, and now their own company Free Spirit Group, which develops the Love Oils range. They began with their own Byron Bay herb farm, and while they now source from around the globe for the Love Oils label, they conduct personal visits to their suppliers to ensure that everything they sell meets the highest standards for quality, social and environmental responsibility.
