Big Tree Farms was born from a vision of entrepreneurs Ben Ripple and Frederick Schilling. They were passionate about devising a sustainable supply chain and livelihood for Indonesian famers by improving the value of their farmed cacao. The powerful duo’s combined expertise on sustainable and ethical supply and premium chocolate innovation enabled them to create a model whereby they utilize local farmers and artisans to create a transparent supply process of turning the raw cacao beans into ethical chocolate products.  Their model was deemed hugely successful and the company has since developed itself into a world leader in supply of organic coconut palm sweeteners.
