Bio-Medicals began in 2002 with a small but sophisticated line of nutraceutical supplements. They’re still a fairly small company, with just nine employees and two warehouses, but even so their commitment to quality and founder Howard Talbot’s expert formulations have made them an industry leader with their own chain of pharmacies, a national distribution network, and a thriving export business. By volume – 25,000 litres a year, to be precise – their biggest seller is now their Organic Tasteless Cooking Coconut Oil, but they continue to make supplements as well as homeopathic and health food products designed to help people enjoy more happiness and wellbeing in their lives.

Bio-Medicals CEO Howard Talbot is first and foremost a practising naturopath, and since founding the company in 2002 he’s continued to see patients every Saturday at Christine Avenue Medical Centre in Varsity Lakes, Queensland. But Howard is also a noted researcher and academician, a research fellow, Assistant Professor Emeritus of Natural Research, and former Dean of the College of Natural Therapies. His major contributions to the field include the OMEPA concept emphasising the importance of omega-3/6 ratios, minerals, enzymes, probiotics, and acid/alkaline balance. Bio-Medicals is managed by Jill Talbot, an experienced businesswoman who prioritises customer service while overseeing retail, distribution and export operations.
