Featuring innovations such as their trademark Klean Coat chip-resistant finish and Climate Lock double-wall vacuum insulation, their products have become some of the world’s most highly regarded reusable bottles. Klean Kanteen is heavily involved in supporting 1% For The Planet and other environmental charities and in advocating ecofriendly policies to government and businesses alike. They support their local community through product donations, pop-up water stations, and allowing each employee 24 hours of volunteer time every year.

Bottled water was pretty popular in the early 2000s – but the bottles were plastic, and most people weren’t thinking about what that meant for their health, or for the environment. Klean Kanteen founder Robert Seals was, and after a couple of years of R&D he rolled out his first stainless steel water bottle in 2004. Klean Kanteen soon gained something of a cult following among festival-goers – and among the Cresswell family, who saw the potential of the product and acquired the company in 2005. Mentored by their father Darrel, brother and sister Jeff and Michelle have headed up Klean Kanteen since then, overseeing its expansion and increasing focus on environmental issues.
