Marienbad Salts

The European city of Marienbad (Marianske Lazne) owes its fame to its numerous mineral springs. The springs were visited serveral times by King Edward VII. Marienbad Springs are described as especially good for those who have lived "not wisely, but too well." The springs which are used for drinking and bathing, provide wonderful curative treatments for most diseases of the digestive organs, for obesity, anaemia, and for states of the body conducive to hypochondriases and depression of spirits, high blood pressure, and as a preventative of rheumatism.
