Rejuvenating Tulsi Sweet Rose Mocktail

It's around this time of year that things really start to heat up here in Australia with February being the hottest month of the year ( I guess we like to round out Summer with a bang... )

Lucky for us, there are innumerable ways to cool off. One of our favourites - aside from a dip in the ocean - is with a nice cup of Tulsi tea. 

In Ayurveda, foods are grouped into those that have warming properties, foods that are cooling, and those that are neutral. The ingredients in the Tulsi Sweet Rose tea blend are naturally cooling making it the perfect way to cool off and find some zen. Mix the tea into a mocktail and you've got something twice as nice: a tea that cools you down and rejuvenates you from the inside out. 

So the next time you're feeling the heat, put the kettle on and shake up this delightful tulsi mocktail for a truly cooling cup of tea. 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of ORGANIC INDIA Tulsi Sweet Rose Tea
  • 1/2 cup sparkling mineral water
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon rose water (optional)
  • Splash of cranberry juice for colour
  • Garnish with organic pink rose petals

Method

  1. Make 1 cup of ORGANIC INDIA Tulsi Sweet Rose tea using 1 teabag. 
  2. Steep and allow to cool a little. (Depending on the size of your glass, you might want to use the whole cup or half the cup of tea.)
  3. Mix in all the other ingredients (except rose petals) and stir well.
  4. Add a couple of cubes of ice (optional) and top with pink rose petals.
