NatureFirst Arrowroot is a gluten-free flour that is a great substitute for cornflour. It can be used in baking and as a thickener in soups, gravies and sauces. It’s a popular gluten free thickener for Asian cooking. Rather than being added at the beginning of the cooking (like cornflour) it’s best used at the end of cooking to thicken sauces. Simply whisk with cool water into a slurry and add to the finished sauce. Arrowroot has little to no taste and is one of only a few thickeners that can be frozen and defrosted.
