From the 2007 bohemian town of Byron Bay emerged the vision of Eco Minerals. Keen on transforming the cosmetics landscape, founder Lulu Starman and her trusted friend Amber Handley were driven to create a brand where beauty and ethics were intrinsically connected. Facing a market filled with chemicals and fillers, their quest was straightforward: create a line of cosmetics pure at heart, nourishing to the skin, and kind to our furry friends. Their philosophy was that animals were for cuddling, not for ingredient lists or testing labs. The ingredients they chose were so pure they've stood the test of time. History of Cleopatra using pure minerals for makeup and sun protection fuelled their passion, reminding them that beauty solutions have been embedded in nature all along.
Lulu and Amber's journey started small, sharing Eco Minerals makeup with their inner circle of friends, then friends-of-friends, and their stockists list naturally grew from there. Today, Eco Minerals is still based in beautiful Byron Bay, Australia and is run by Lulu and her powerhouse business partner Michael. Lulu’s commitment to a cruelty-free lifestyle extends beyond cosmetics, as an ardent vegan, she dreams of establishing an animal sanctuary, aiming to inspire many more to live harmoniously with nature.
