During the 1960s in Hollywood, Arthur Guidotti was refining his hairstyling skills with the guidance of renowned hair stylist Gene Shacove and Al Lapin known as the "father of hair color." Inspired by his mentors, Arthur opened his salon called "On Sunset, which sat proudly on the iconic Sunset Strip. The salon quickly gained popularity among A list clients like Lucille Ball. However Arthur faced a challenge when his hands started reacting to the products he used. Determined to find a solution he embarked on a quest to create hair salon products that not only made hair shine but also treated his hands kindly. This marked the birth of Giovanni® Natural Hair Care.
