Christmas Entertaining Guide

A guide to the best Christmas goodies for entertaining this festive season.

Christmas is about getting everyone together, making memories and enjoying good food. Our Christmas Entertaining Guide can help you plan the perfect Christmas event so you can sit back, relax, and make magical memories this festive season. From nibbles to dessert and everything in-between, we’re sharing our pick of the best Christmas goodies.

Nibbles and Platters

If your family is anything like mine, nibbles are in constant circulation at Christmas get togethers.

These Rosemary & Black Pepper Crackers from Kitz Living Foods pair perfectly with a creamy brie on a cheese board. Made from organic raw seeds that have been activated for maximum nutrition then seasoned with fresh herbs, they’re a great way to add extra nutrition and flavour to your platter.

Christmas Cheese Platter

Add a side dish of one of Maleny Cuisine’s delicious relishes or conserves for the ultimate cheese pairing. Their Strawberry, Lime & Whisky Conserve pairs delightfully with a strong cheese, like an aged cheddar or gruyere.

No cheese platter is complete without a selection of small dishes filled with antipasto favourites. Riverina Grove’s spicy Pickled Onions can add a delicious touch of spice to your platter, a great pairing with hard cheeses. Aurelio specialise in premium quality organic olives with our pick their flavour-packed Lemon Pepper Green Olives, made with Australian ingredients.

Harvest Box Snacks

Encourage gathering with a nibbles table-spread with a selection of nuts, crisps, and other goodies kids young and old will enjoy while they mingle. Harvest Box are experts at tasty nuts and other snacks, with their Satay Cashews, Almonds & Peanuts a savoury favourite while their Almond Latte mix is a decadent blend of almonds, flame raisins, coffee beans, and dark chocolate. Piranha’s Snaps crisps are always a crowd pleaser, with their gluten-free Oregano & Thyme Snaps seasoned with garden herbs for a healthier potato, rice, and pumpkin based crisp.

Christmas Lunch

Include a selection of condiments on the Christmas dinner table this year for a boost of flavour to meats, roasted veggies, and salads. This Apple, Fig, & Ginger Chutney is ideal with baked ham, and if you’re following a vegan or vegetarian menu this Savoury Eggplant Chutney is a great addition to baked whole cauliflower.

Christmas spread

Decorate the table with Christmasy treats or place a few bowls filled with goodies on tables around the house. Some of our favourite Christmasy treats include Sweet William’s festive Chocolate Santas, Dr Superfoods’ Dark Chocolate Tart Cherries or Belgian Amber Chocolate Coated Hazelnuts, Byron Bay Cookies’ White Choc Macadamia Cookie Bites (or any of their delectable flavours…), Wallaby’s Dark Chocolate Honeycomb Bark, and Nougat Limar’s Cherry, Cranberry & Pistachio nougat with its beautiful festive colours.

Dr Superfoods Chocolate Cherries

Planning a laid back BBQ this Christmas? We love Oliver’s Reserve’s infused oils for cooking flavour-packed meat and vegetables on the BBQ. Their Garlic oil adds a great garlicky taste to veg and their Chilli oil can transform your meat with a fiery kick.

Christmas Drinks

Christmas drinks

Doubling as a Christmas gift for your guests and an eco-friendly way to enjoy a sneaky rosè or white outdoors, Cheeki’s Wine Tumblers are a stylish way to sip this festive season. Insulated and spill-proof with a stainless steel straw, they keep drinks chilled for 6 hours.

Cheeki

For the abstemious this silly season a selection of sparkling drinks will be a welcome addition to the drinks table. Rochester Ginger are a great option, with their Old Jamaican Dark Ginger an old  favourite, or Norfolk Punch’s famous herbal drink.

Famous Soda

Hosting a family event? Kids will love Famous Soda’s fizzy drinks in Passionfruit or Lemonade, and parents will love the lack of artificial ingredients and sugar.

And why not keep some reusable straws handy so people can enjoy drinks without the use of single-use plastic?
