They have a Chai Shed, located in tranquil forest surroundings, where they carefully blend and hand-package nine specialty loose-leaf types, stringent in the belief that each product reflects their commitment to quality and environmental stewardship. Sustainability is central to Chai Tea's operations, reflected in its use of recycled cardboard packaging and biodegradable cellophane for bulk products. It supports fair labor and sustainable agriculture as part of its business ethics. The innovations include introducing biodegradable tea bags made from non-GMO sugarcane waste.
