For Roogenic, respecting the environment, Indigenous communities, and one another is not just an ideal but at the heart of everything they do. From the outset, they have sought to forge meaningful partnerships with Indigenous growers and small farmers who utilise wild-harvesting and sustainable land management practices. They have also implemented profit-sharing strategies with these Indigenous communities in an effort to honour Indigenous culture, foster inclusion, and help towards the continuity of generational wisdom.
Dedicated to leading the bushfood industry with sustainable packaging options, Roogenic have worked towards and achieved 100% biodegradable packaging, made from plant-based materials including sugarcane, corn starch and tapioca roots.
While Roogenic created their range of teas and tonics with a steadfast purpose, their purported benefits and swift success was somewhat of an accident. The knew they’d created a collection of wonderful teas crafted from Australian native botanicals but they didn’t quite realise how beneficial their products would be to those who sipped them. After word spread about the popular brews being served at the Fremantle Markets in Western Australia, Roogenic found themselves the recipients of glowing reviews speaking to their teas’ incredible benefits. These days they know full well how each tea can benefit its consumer, leaning into native Australian bushfoods and their purported healing properties.
