Lotus Organic Arrowroot Powder is ethically sourced, extracted from certified organic Maranta Arundinacea plants. A root vegetable akin to taro, cassava and sweet potato, the extracted starch is an ideal thickening agent in cooking typically used in lieu of cornflour. It’s a flavourless ingredient that mixes in seamlessly without resulting in a cloudy appearance. Arrowroot powder can also be used in gluten free baking as a simple wheat-flour replacement. Use in biscuits, custards and gluten free cakes and muffins.
