Faith in Nature can only be described as a trailblazer in the beauty industry, not just for naturally made range of personal care products but for their unprecedented decision to legally include 'Nature' itself on their board of directors. Every decision made takes the natural world into account, from ingredient sourcing to packaging, helping guide their choices to better support the environment we all share.
Growing up in New York City, Rivka Rose was fascinated with plants from a young age, nurturing them on her bedroom windowsill. After completing degrees in psychology and sociology, Rivka moved from New York to Scotland to settle. Her journey to reconnect with nature and it's healing possibilities started with making homemade herbal ointments to address her own skin care needs, leading to the creation of line of products she believed in deeply - ‘Faith in Nature’. Her products needed to be accessible and beneficial to all, and do no harm to people or the planet. It was 1974, and at a time when terms like "natural" and "cruelty-free" were hardly mainstream, making her efforts not just innovative but also pioneering for the beauty industry. Some 50 years later, and this is the same sentiment that still guides Faith in Nature. The most notable example of this is their legally appointing ‘Nature’ itself as a member of the board with a voice and vote within the company, an innovative move that reflects their deep commitment to environmental sustainability. Just as importantly it demonstrates to others that business success and environmental stewardship should go hand in hand.
