Life Cykel prepare extracts and powders from medicinal mushrooms they grow on recycled coffee grounds, reducing waste and contributing to the development of an ecofriendly Circular Economy throughout Australia.
The founders of Life Cykel are Ryan Creed and Julian Mitchell, two former health professionals who were working in the Western Australia mining industry when they found a way to convert used coffee grounds into a high-quality growth medium for premium mushrooms.
Founded in 2015, Life Cykel is a pioneer in the field of sustainable biotech with a focus on urban mushroom farms fertilised by coffee waste collected from around Australia. Aside from creating their own healthy, environmentally friendly mycelium products, they’re also active in helping to expand the Circular Economy by supporting the National Mushroom Network (with the aim of enabling everyone to grow their own mushrooms) and Australian beekeepers through their Beemunity project.
