Sanctum Organics is a family-owned natural skincare brand from Australia. Developed in Byron Bay, they use micro-batch formulas with over 70% certified organic ingredients and eco-friendly packaging that is also vegan, cruelty-free, whilst keeping their products affordable and accessible.

Behind the brand

The story of Sanctum began in 1992, along the largely undisturbed coastline of Byron Bay, where founders Greg and Jicky Milham settled just a few years earlier, in search of a slower and cleaner way of living to raise their family. Greg had previously worked in skincare manufacturing in Sydney, and he was distressed by the escalating use of harsh chemicals, and wanted to build a more honest and natural option. So, he delved into the rigorous study of natural ingredient chemistry, and drew on the relaxed vibe of Byron Bay to start to merge locally sourced ingredients, with professional quality therapeutic plant extracts, vitamins, essential oils, and herbal actives. Today, the brand continues from that original site, with its laboratory, manufacturing, head office, and much-loved local retail space for local customers and tourists alike.
