Australia is blessed with some of the world’s most beautiful natural oils, and The Australian Natural Soap Company combines them into their handmade slow-set soap making process to bring the essence of Australia’s natural heartland into your home bathroom. All their soaps are palm oil-free, cruelty-free, detergent free, biodegradable, and vegan.
Fed up with the sulfates, parabens, detergents, and artificial fragrances lurking in store-bought bars, Emma Cook a video Journalist and her husband Anthony, a doctor, started making their own soap in their home kitchen. A journalistic story led to an adventure in the awe-inspiring Australian outback, where immersed in the breathtaking landscapes they discovered the transformative and deeply restorative power of Australia's native flora. It became crystal clear that the revitalizing properties of Australian native plant oils would take centre stage in their beautiful soaps, and be a way to share their newfound discovery with others.
Encouraged by the overwhelming response from their friends and family for their beautiful handmade soaps, and a drive to offer an alternative to the sea of confusing, chemically enhanced skincare options out there, Emma and Anthony took a leap of faith and opened their first shop at South Melbourne market in 2013.
As demand soared, the couple's kitchen could no longer contain the magic. Determined to keep their operations close to their home and hearts, Emma and Anthony set up shop in Dandenong, Melbourne - home to their two bustling manufacturing facilities which use their proprietary slow-set, cold-pressed soap-making method.
