Also known as Kakadu Plum, Gubinge is the local name for the native Kakadu plum (Terminalia ferdinandiana) among the Nyulnyul people of the Kimberly region of Western Australia. The fruit has the highest natural vitamin C concentration in the world, and indigenous Australians have long used it for medicinal purposes. Loving Earth’s Gubinge Powder is made from gently dehydrated plums wild harvested by the Nyulnyuls themselves on a fair trade basis. Wild harvesting is a sustainable method that actually results in higher vitamin C yields than industrial agriculture.
