Fraser McNaul’s devotion to the world’s tiniest grain began during an around the world backpacking trip in his 20s. Intrigued by crops that aren’t endemic to Australia he discovered Teff, an Ethiopian staple that just so happens to favour conditions similar to where his family farm is located in the Murray Darling Basin. This fortuitous realisation resulted in Australia’s first dedicated teff farm, and they’ve been spreading the word about this nutritious grain ever since.
