Made with a combination of raw carob powder, roasted carob powder and carob syrup, they don't skimp on flavour. Mix in creamy almond butter made from perfectly roasted almonds then dust them in pure matcha powder and what you've got is an addictively-good bliss ball with a long list of brag-worthy nutrients. Antioxidants, protein, fibre, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium and niacin are just some of the nutrients packed inside.
Unlike chocolate bliss balls, these ones are free from caffeine and theobromine, are naturally sweet and low in fat.

Matcha, Almond Butter and Carob Balls
MAKES 8 BALLS
Ingredients
- 2 cups roasted almond butter
- 1/4 cup Roasted Carob Powder
- 1/4 cup Raw Carob Powder
- 1/2 cup Carob Syrup
- 3 tbsps organic extra virgin olive oil
- 3/4 cup organic coconut flour
- 1 cup organic coconut milk
- 1 tsp pure organic vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp salt
- real green matcha (for garnish/finishing touches)
Method
- Combine all measured ingredients and mix thoroughly into a paste. Adjust liquid and powder if too dry or too wet.
- Take small amounts of the paste and roll into balls between your palms.
- Roll the balls in real green matcha powder and set on a piece of parchment on a plate for refrigerating.
- Keep chilled until serving. Enjoy!
NOTES
You can make the paste and keep it in the refrigerator and then roll into balls and coat with garnish before serving.
The Australian Carob brand is naturally sweet. If you'd prefer your carob balls to be very sweet, add some maple syrup or honey to taste.
