A simple way to enjoy one of Japan's most popular traditional recipes, this is a ramen anyone can make.
Traditional ramen - the type with an authentic and rich flavour - requires a bone broth to simmer for 24+ hours to bring out the rich goodness inside. This one uses a ready-to-go bone broth that's been simmered just as long with just as much flavour and nutrients inside - minus the fuss at your end.
This version keeps it nice and easy, topping the ramen noodles with an egg and some sesame-coated chicken, but you can add any veg you like. Think Asian greens like buk choy and pack choy or even some simple veg like green beans or corn will do nicely.
Ingredients
- 1 serving
- 150 grams ramen or soba noodles
- 1 Raw egg or poached egg
- 1 Thinly sliced spring onion
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 sheet shredded nori
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 150g of sliced cooked chicken breast
- 200ml Beef Bone Broth or Chicken Bone Broth
Method
- Cook the noodles in the bone broth.
- Transfer the hot noodles to a bowl.
- Top with the cooked chicken.
- Add the egg on the hot noodles.
- Sprinkle with the shredded nori and soy sauce, and sesame seeds and mix through.
